Embraer has secured two orders during the Dubai Airshow 2025, with the Brazilian company announcing that Helvetic Airways has placed an order for three E195-E2 aircraft, with five options, while Air Côte d’Ivoire bought four E175s with eight additional purchasing rights at the event.

On November 17, 2025, Embraer announced two consecutive orders from two airlines, becoming the second aircraft manufacturer to secure deals at this year’s Dubai Airshow.

First was Helvetic Airways’ order, with the Switzerland-based airline, which operates regional flights on behalf of Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS), purchasing three E195-E2 aircraft, and now holding purchasing rights for five more.

Embraer highlighted that the Swiss airline will take delivery of its first E195-E2 at the end of 2026, with each aircraft being configured with 134 economy class seats. Tobias Pogorevc, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Helvetic Airways, said that the order deepens the airline’s partnership with Embraer.

“The E195-E2 is the ideal aircraft for our network, offering exceptional fuel efficiency, low noise emissions, and a high-quality passenger experience.”

Pogorevc noted that the order will enhance Helvetic Airways’ ability to offer its wet lease services to various European airlines.

Currently, the Swiss carrier has eight E190-E2, four E195-E2, four E190, and Four E195 aircraft in its fleet. Helvetic Airways was also the first airline to fly the E190-E2 and E195-E2 into London City Airport (LCY) on behalf of SWISS, with the airport having a unique approach and departure profile due to its central location within London, the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Air Côte d’Ivoire ordered four older-generation E175s with an additional eight purchase rights. The first aircraft, configured with 12 business and 64 economy class seats, will arrive at Abidjan Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport (ABJ) sometime in H1 2027.

Embraer noted that the African carrier’s order will show up in its Q4 order backlog.

Air Côte d’Ivoire had one E170 in its fleet between January 2013 and March 2015, which it had leased from HOP!, the regional subsidiary of Air France. Other than that, the airline’s regional network is comprised of either the De Havilland Canada Dash 8 Q400, of which it has four, or the much larger Airbus A319ceo, A320ceo, and A320neo aircraft.

It has five A319ceo, two A320ceo, and one A320neo, as well as one A330-900 aircraft in its fleet, per planespotters.net.

Laurent Loukou, the CEO of Air Côte d’Ivoire, stated that the purchase of E175s marked a significant step in the carrier’s fleet development strategy, with the regional jet perfectly suited for its “domestic and regional ambitions.”

“Its capacity is perfectly adapted to the size of African markets. Its performance and comfort will allow us to offer a superior passenger experience, while supporting our growth and the development of our Abidjan hub.”

Loukou confirmed that the E175s will gradually replace its Dash 8 Q400s, improving the carrier’s economic performance with better operating costs and profitability.
