Air Canada has scheduled additional international routes to be operated by Air Canada Rouge, its leisure subsidiary, which will take over the mainline carrier’s Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

As first reported by AeroRoutes, in May, Air Canada Rouge will use 737 MAX 8s to fly 12 routes, including two domestic routes. In comparison, in April, Air Canada Rouge’s 737 MAX 8 operations will include three domestic routes, Cirium’s Diio Mi shows.
In May, Air Canada Rouge’s 737 MAX 8s will be flying from either Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) or Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
From YYZ, the aircraft will operate to three destinations: Nassau Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS), San Diego International Airport (SAN), and Victoria International Airport (YYJ).
At YVR, the 737 MAX 8s’ route map will include nine destinations, which are displayed below.

Air Canada Rouge’s forward-looking schedules for the 737 MAX 8 beyond May are currently limited. During the summer 2026 season, the aircraft will be deployed on flights from YYZ to Cancun International Airport (CUN) and Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) during the latter half of the season.
From YVR, there are plenty of flights scheduled to Mexico City International Airport (MEX) through October.
Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) also has a few routes with Rouge’s 737 MAX 8s, including flights to Samaná El Catey International Airport (AZS) and PUJ, which are scheduled to begin on September 30 and October 27, respectively.
Beyond November, Air Canada Rouge currently has four 737 MAX 8 routes: Calgary International Airport (YYC) to Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR), YYC-CUN, YVR-MEX, and YUL-PUJ, per Cirium’s Diio Mi.
Air Canada currently lists a single 737 MAX 8 assigned to Rouge. The airframe, registered as C-FTJV, has been at Kelowna International Airport (YLW) since January 14, according to Flightradar24.
The Canadian carrier announced the transfer of all 737 MAX 8s to its leisure arm in November 2025, with its executives outlining that all of the aircraft should be operating on behalf of Rouge by the end of 2026.
